Which chemical is used to control fungi on crops?

Pesticide

Fungicide

Fungicides are chemicals used to control diseases caused by fungi on crops. They work by either killing fungi or stopping their growth, helping plants stay healthy and productive. Some fungicides stay on the surface to prevent infection (protectants), while others move inside the plant (systemic) and stop fungi that have already started to invade. This is why it’s the specific type of chemical designed to target fungi, unlike pesticides in general (which can refer to chemicals for insects or weeds), antibiotics (which act against bacteria), or herbicides (which kill weeds). So the appropriate choice for controlling fungal problems on crops is the fungicide.

Antibiotic

Herbicide
